Favorite things ....
The studio is officially closed for the holiday season. The camera isn't completely shut down as I did manage to get the newest member of the family to sit for a portrait just the other day. Oliver joined the family in July. He's smart as a whip, loves people, and keeps us on our toes.
Looking rather festive and handsome in his red bow tie. Wall art shown measures 30" x 40"
Decorating has been been completed. This year, I decided to go for a more handmade Christmas, using dried oranges, natural grasses, flowers, twigs, and pine boughs.
Plain white and brown paper have been turned into chains, stars, and pinwheels. And everyday vintage treasures have been given unique new roles this year.
The baking has begun. Goodies are filling containers waiting to be given as gifts. This season, the hubby has made a sour dough starter so he's enjoying baking loaves of bread and I'm enjoying experimenting by using the discard to make sweet treats, desserts, and a few savory items. Christmas cookies were baked today and they await decorating. More cookies, candies, pie, and fudge are still on the list to be made - I'll share pictures later.
The studio will re-open for business in January 2022. All sessions will continue to be held at an alternate location until further notice. Days and hours may be different than in the past. Updated information will be shared at a later date.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas that's filled with your favorite things
