Good ol' summer time.

We are into the fourth day of a heat wave here in the North-East and we are finding anything we can do to stay cool. We don't have air conditioning because typically the weather isn't this uncomfortable for long periods and we don't find it practical to have it. So to deal with the heat the doors have been opened in the early morning while still cool, then the house is closed up to run the fans until it is cool in the evening once again.
Time hasn't been spent entirely indoors. Fortunately, we have been able spend lots of time at the lake sailing and swimming, have been catching up on some reading, and even spent some some time picking berries. My oldest son has had a bumper crop of currants and raspberries at his home so we have been enjoying their sweetness.
